Beats Walkin's debut CD, entitled
"Western Omelette" , contains 12 favorites from the BW repertoire, including
"Be a Little Discreet (When You Cheat)", "Man Wanted", "Hey Good Lookin'", "Blues for Dixie",
"San Antonio Rose", "The Last Meal", "Miles and Miles of Texas", "In Care of the Blues",
"That's What I Like About the South", and "Don't Fence Me In". In addition, the release
includes two Beats Walkin' originals: "Battered and Beaten Heart", which was written by our
original guitarist Jon Dichter; and "On-Line Lover", which was written by bandleader and
steel guitarist, Jim Cohen, with all of you cybernuts in mind ("She has reduced me to
an icon, She can turn me on real quick, 'Cause if she wants my lovin', She'll just point
and double-click!").
Nearly all of the tunes on the CD were recorded live in
the studio, to capture that unmistakable, fun spirit that is so characteristic of a Beats
