Pedal steel guitarist, Jim Cohen, founded Beats Walkin' in 1994. In addition to his work with BW, he is much in demand for recording sessions and is a featured soloist at numerous steel guitar shows and conventions across the USA and Europe. Wendi Bourne, vocalist and guitarist, has been swinging up a storm for area audiences for many years as a founding member of the popular swing groups, "Big Nite Out" and "Girls from Mars". The latter group has a terrific new swing CD available at their home page. Girls from Mars

	Our drummer and vocalist, "Mr" Chuck Lindsey, was a founding member of Beats Walkin' and hails from Asheville, North Carolina. We hired him because we thought he said he was from "Nashville"! Good thing this fella can swing, so we kept him anyway!
Bob Lewis has been in charge of the low notes since early 2001. He is one swingin' player on that doghouse bass fiddle!
